The Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation is offered to
those students who complete the outlined program of study,
pass an English proficiency examination, a departmental
comprehensive examination and meet the specific requirements
of the School of Education and/ or the general requirements
for the degree. Candidates for graduation must maintain at
least a "C" average in major courses.
The recreation curriculum is designed to provide the
student with in-depth exposures and experiences in various
aspects of the total recreational scene, and develop
competencies essential for his optimal professional growth
and maturity. Majors are encouraged to concentrate electives
in directions that will better enable them to secure
positions in various health capacities and in other related
areas.
