What is New Student Registration/Parent Orientation?
Early Registration is a one-day session that gives incoming freshmen and transfer students an opportunity to be advised and register for classes prior to the fall registration period.
What is New Student Orientation?
Orientation is a three-day program of activities designed to help new students, both new freshmen and transfer students, make a smooth transition to college life at Alcorn State University. The program includes an introduction to University history, culture, and traditions, advisement, library orientation, and familiarization with University resources.
Is Attendance Required?
Attendance at both the University Orientation and the New Student Registration and Parent Orientation Program is mandatory and required for all students new to the University; freshmen and transfer students. Attendance at Parent Orientation Program is suggested but not required for parents.
