Alcorn State University Army ROTC

WELCOME TO THE BRAVES BATTALION HOMEPAGE

The Braves Battalion has produced fine Army Officers  for more than three decades. The Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) is a unique elective course of study, taken in conjunction with any academic major that, upon graduation, leads to a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army. Today, we at the Braves Battalion continue that tradition of excellence through a rigorous and highly supportive program centered around the development of Scholars, Athletes, and Leaders.

TRAINING EVENTS

The Braves Battalion training events include Field Training Exercises (FTX) where Cadets will learn everything from navigating through the woods utilizing a compass to learning how to shoot an M-16  weapon properly.

  Social ACTIVITIES

One of the fundamentals of the United States Army is teamwork.  In order to develop into a cohesive unit, Braves Battalion stresses the importance of socializing outside of  training events and the classroom environment.
