Dr. Robert Sizemore to appear in PBS Special

On February 9th and February 16th, 2005 PBS will broadcast a four-part series entitled “Slavery and the Making of America”. The PBS website notes that this special “tells the broad story of American slavery in large part through the lives of individual enslaved men, women and children”. Assuming his bits don’t end up on the cutting room floor, Dr. Robert Sizemore, Professor of Biology at Alcorn State University will portray Mr. McGee, an evil plantation owner in a piece set in the mid-1800’s. This episode will air on February 16. The series was produced by Thirteen/WNET New York and will be narrated by Morgan Freeman.


Advertising for Open or Vacant Positions

The following procedure must be followed when posting a vacant position in your department in order to comply with university policy and Mississippi Department of Labor standards.

  1. Prepare a position description for the open or vacant position
  2. Forward a copy of the position description to the Director of Human Resources for posting
  3. Forward a copy pf the position description to the Office of University Relations for posting on the Weekly Bulletin
  4. List the open or vacant position with the Mississippi Employment Security Commission, i.e. “Job Service”, in addition to any other advertisement medium used.
