Coach McGowan To Receive An Award

Congratulations and best wishes to Coach Willie McGowan!  

He has been selected as a recipient of the John A. Peoples, Jr. - Walter Washington Humanitarian Award.

The humanitarian award is named in honor of Dr. John A. Peoples, Jr., former president of Jackson State University and the late Dr. Walter Washington, former president of Alcorn State University. The award will be presented during the 12^th Southwest Airlines Capital City Classic President’s Scholarship Banquet. This event will be held on Friday, November 18, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Marriott Hotel in Jackson, Mississippi.
