Alumni Chapter Reminder
The CAMPUS ALUMNI CHAPTER
would like to take this opportunity to extend an invitation to you
to join the local CAMPUS CHAPTER here at Alcorn State
University. Alcorn State University has rich traditions and it
has great opportunities to advance the knowledge and well-being of
its student, faculty, and staff. We, the CAMPUS CHAPTER,
are creating an atmosphere of collaboration and knowledge of the
benefits of being associated with us.
We would like for you to be an
integral part of our organization. Please feel free to bring
ideas and your input into the CAMPUS CHAPTER. We meet
every 1st Monday of each month at 12:00 noon in the
honor’s dormitory cafeteria.
Dues for membership are $50.00
per year ($25.00 local chapter and $25.00 national chapter).
The calendar year is January 1, 2007 thru December 31, 2007,
dues are payable now.
The mid-winter
conference is being held in Jackson, MS next year. Information on
the conference can be found at

Announcement: The History of Modern
Science Class
The History of Modern Science
(HI 112A) is being taught in the Spring Semester, 2007, on
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. [main campus], room to be
arranged.
Science & nursing majors are
encouraged to sign up, but knowledge of science or history is not
necessary in order to take the course. Interested faculty and
staff are also welcome to attend.
The course can substitute for
HI 112, part 2 of World Civilizations. For further information,

the Graduate Office one week prior to the exam date. Because of
particular circumstances, there will be no alternative test date
or re-reading date for this exam. The decision of the Exam
Evaluators will be final. Remember all registration forms must
contain a valid signature from the graduate office. No student
will be permitted to take this exam without a valid registration.

Program:

Math Center
funded by Title-III will be opened on Saturdays from July 1st,
2006.
Math Center Hours
9AM to 2PM Monday through Saturday
4PM to 8PM Monday to Friday
During the Summer I & II
the center will be opened from 8 AM to serve the Summer
Development Students of College for Excellence and undergraduate
students of Alcorn State University.
All those who need help in
mathematics courses like College Algebra, Intermediate Algebra,
Introductory Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Statistics, etc.,
can approach Math Center for better learning.
Tutoring is free for all the
students of Alcorn State University.
