The incumbent works under the supervision of the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Planning, and Research and is responsible for coordinating the development, administration and/or maintenance of a comprehensive alumni relations program which is geared toward providing services to alumni and providing opportunities for alumni to serve the university. The incumbent serves as the primary liaison between the National Alumni Association and the university administration. Responsibilities: the Director of Alumni Affairs is accountable for working closely with the National Alumni Association as well as with local alumni chapters and individual alumni in identifying and defining their interests, needs, and aspirations and in providing technical assistance and guidance. The incumbent also assists in communicating the interests, needs, aspirations, policies, and achievements of the university to alumni.
