Cultural Crossroads Announces:

Sketches, Swatches, and Costume Designs by Myrna Colley-Lee

February 5, 2007-March 19, 2007

Ever wonder WHO designs those wonderful costumes for plays and movies?
Professional designer Myrna Colley-Lee of Charleston,
Mississippi, explores the art of costume design through her
outstanding work in regional and national theater.
SEE this exhibit of nearly 100 pieces by Colley-Lee, including
working sketches and fabric swatches, production photographs
and finished costumes that represent a portfolio spanning three decades.
The beautifully crafted sketches show great detail and extensive
historical research.

Don’t miss an opportunity to VISIT WITH THE ARTIST on Thursday, March 1, 6:00 - 8:00 PM for a gallery walk and discussion.

Mississippi Cultural Crossroads is open Monday thru Wednesday from 9 to 5 and by appointment. There is no admission charge to view the exhibit.

GladRags: Sketches, Swatches and Costume Designs by Myrna Colley-Lee is organized by the Mississippi Museum of Art and supported with funds provided by the Museum's statewide Traveling Exhibition Endowment, a fund made possible through significant private contributions matched by the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.

Mississippi Cultural Crossroads and its programs are supported by the Claiborne County Board of Supervisors, the Mississippi Arts Commission and contriutions by individual and business supporters.

Alcorn Concert Choir to Go on Tour to Honor late President Bristow  

The Alcorn State University Concert Choir is going to give appreciation concerts to honor memory of Dr. Clinton Bristow Jr., the late president of Alcorn. The choir will be sinning in churches and high schools of St. Louis, Mo, and Chicago Il, from March 7 till March 14, 2007. Please find below the detailed itinerary of the choir.

Wednesday, March 7: Depart Alcorn State University

7:00pm Concert at the Christ Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church, Hotel Comfort Inn, St. Louis, MO 

Thursday, March 8:  Performance at High School

7:00pm Concert – Prince of Peace M.B. Church, St. Louis, MO 

Friday, March 9: Depart to Chicago, IL  

Saturday, March 10: Concert – Freedom Baptist Church, Chicago, IL 

Sunday, March 11: Concert- Mt. Zion Baptist Church

12:00noon Lunch at Mt. Zion Baptist Church

3:00pm Concert- Original New Morning Star Church

5:30pm Dinner at New Morning Star Church, Chicago, IL 

Monday, March 12: Concert for Richard Drichous

7:00pm Alumni Concert and Dinner Hotel- Comfort Inn, Elkgrove Village, IL 

Tuesday, March 13:  Depart Chicago
