Educator
Assistant
in Port Gibson, MS. The Assistant Educator collaborates with other EFNEP Educators
within the county, region and state. The EFNEP Assistant
Educator for adults will collaborate with the Area Family and
Consumer Science (FCS) Educators and community organizations in
the delivery of nutrition, health and fitness educational
programming. Responsibilities: Demonstrate adequate
understanding of subject matter and provide research based

ASU Extension Program

(tenure-track, professorial rank) starting August 17, 2007.
Responsibilities: serve as Chair of the Fine Arts Department;
provide management, academic and curricular leadership of its
degree programs, scheduling of classes, mentoring and advising
students, supervising staff, long and short-range planning, and
day-to-day administration of the department and its budget; teach
no more than two courses per semester and be able to maintain a
balance between professional/scholarly and pedagogical activities;

Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of tasks on and off the air. Announce station
program information, such as program schedules and station breaks
for underwriting, or public service information, and they will
introduce and close programs. Announcers will read prepared
scripts or ad-lib commentary on the air, as they present music,
news, sports, weather, time, and commercials. If a written script
is required, they may do the research and writing. Announcers will
also interview guests and moderate panels or discussions.
Announcers may provide commentary for the audience during sporting

an immediate opening for the position of Image Processing and Pattern Recognition Expert- SRI;
Responsibilities:
Alcorn State University’s Systems Research Institute seeks an
expert in image processing and pattern recognition lead work in
the Systems Research Institute. Initial assignment relates to
validation of novel image processing techniques currently being
used in the institute together with the University Medical Center
and several industrial partners on several grants having a
bio-statistical and industrial focus. Responsibility will require
teamwork with other scientist in modeling, building of knowledge
bases, automated pattern recognition technology, and services to
tenants in a high technology incubator located in SW Mississippi.
The successful candidate will be expected to pursue his/her own
independent research, seek grants and explore collaborations with
scientists at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and
other state and national centers and institutes. The successful
candidate will have the option of teaching undergraduate/graduates
courses in Advanced Technologies, participate in departmental and
university services, and develop technical laboratories.
Qualifications: Ph.D.
in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or closely related
discipline relevant to image-processing, pattern recognition, and
Geo-spatial information systems. Applicants should have a track
record of scholarly research in the area, excellent oral and
written communication skills, substantive publications in national
and internationally scholarly journals and conference, and a track
record indicating an ability to secure funding for research and
conduct laboratory and curriculum development.

Southwest Mississippi. Qualification:
Successful candidates will have a
Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in Computer Science,
Computer Networking and Information Systems along with Technical
Management skills. Preference will be given to individuals who
possess an MBA with technical core in Information Systems.
Industry-based certifications are required for the successful

offer. Description:
Successful candidates will play a vital role in the
technological direction of tenants in the incubator. They will be
required to assist in constructing business plans for clients in a
high technology incubator, overseeing network security and
directing Internet operations. Successful candidates should be
capable of planning, coordinating, directing research and
facilitating computer-related activities of the firms. Successful
candidates will be capable of technical work and management of
system analysts, computer programmers, support specialists, and
other computer-related workers. Work may include planning and
coordinating activities such as installing and upgrading hardware
and software, programming and systems design, developing computer
networks, implementing Internet and Intranet sites, maintenance
and security of networks. Technologies of
interest include the following:
Networks: Microsoft Windows 2003, CISCO LAN and WAN

Professor of Robotics and Automation Technology.
Responsibilities:
Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Robotics and
Automation Technology; participate in departmental and university
services; and develop technical laboratories. Applicants should
have extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering and material
science. Applicants should also have a special interest in
developing and teaching undergraduate courses in computer aided
design and manufacturing, robotics, engineering mechanics and
control systems. Candidates are also expected to be able to teach
material science at introductory undergraduate level. Familiarity
with MEMS systems will be considered as an advantage.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in
Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology,
Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline is required.

University has 2 (two) open full-time tenure-track
positions in psychology. Rank and
salary for each position are negotiable based on experience and
qualifications. Responsibilities: The successful candidates
will participate in all aspects of undergraduate education in
psychology including, but not limited to, teaching, advising,
research, serving on university committees, public service, and
grant writing. Qualifications: The successful candidates
should hold a Ph.D. in psychology and be willing to teach in a
wide range of undergraduate courses including but not necessarily
limited to the following: general psychology, history of
psychology, computer applications in psychology, motivation,
learning, cognition, industrial/organizational, and personality.
Opportunities also exist for the successful candidates to develop
courses in his/her special areas of interest. The normal course
load is 12 hours per semester. The successful candidates should be
committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching, advising, and
research. Experience in working with individuals from minority and
culturally diverse populations is desirable, but not required.
