Alcorn to Host Technology Assimilation in Science Classroom Workshop on July 2-30, 2007

Alcorn State University will host a four-week workshop for middle school and high school science teachers from the surrounding school districts from July 2-30, 2007. The workshop entitled “Technology Assimilation in Science Classroom (TASC)”, is funded by the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning through “No Child Left Behind: Improving Teacher Quality Grant Professional Development Program”. Eighteen teachers from eight school districts will participate in the program. Participants will receive a stipend, daily lunch, Science software and supplies. 4.      To host two follow-up sessions, one per semester in the following academic year.

5.      To help participants develop an awareness for science project and implement at their school.
