Undergraduate Admissions Office Launches New BANNER Self-Service Admission Application

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is pleased to announce the launching of the new BANNER Self-Service Admission Application. While many features distinguish this application from the previous on-line application, the most important two are the abilities for applicants to return to the web page to check their status and the admission office to load the application without manual reentry of data.

A debt of gratitude is owed to a number of people who worked on this project while managing to perform their other daily duties. Mrs. Katangelia Tenner coordinated the effort for the Office of Admissions. Mrs. Donna Hayden and Mrs. Felicia Harried from the Center for Information Technology provided technical assistance while Mr. Jimmy Smith and Mrs. U’Landa Danzy from the Office of The Registrar aided in the building of support tables and rules forms. Thank you goes to Dr. Alice Gill as our overall BANNER Coordinator and Dr. Jonathan Turner as Director of The Center for Information Technology for their leadership.

Upcoming Crisis Response Conference at MSU

MSU has put together a 2-day Crisis Response Conference on the MSU campus. After coordination with IHL, we have determined that the dates of July 10 - 11 (Tuesday and Wednesday) will work best. IHL has confirmed that Patty Marshall, who heads up the Crisis Response Team from the Attorney General's Office, will make a presentation at this conference.

The plan is for the conference to begin at 10:00 a.m. on the 10th, and conclude around 4 or 5 p.m. on the 11th. To allow for your convenience, we will make available guest rooms in our newest on-campus residence hall, Building 3, at a cost of $40.00 per night. Building 3 is next to Griffis Hall - our Honors Residence Hall. The conference sessions will be held in the Griffis Hall Forum - a large meeting room on the 4th floor.

Michael Goolsby, our Student Affairs Risk Management Coordinator, is serving as the conference coordinator. Please contact him for additional information at 662-325-0411 or mgoolsby@saffairs.msstate.edu
