Miss Mississippi 2007 Speaks at the Convocation

 On October 11, 2007, Alcorn State University School of Education and Psychology, Department of Education and Psychology, and the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation in collaboration with the Student Engagement Program – Title III, held the 2007 Fall Convocation. The guest speaker was a renowned Alcornite, Miss Mississippi 2007 Kimberly Nicole Morgan.

She gave a motivational speech about importance of education, focusing on the goal and believing in oneself as key elements of success. “All the wonders of the world are awaiting you if you just believe in yourself,” said Ms. Morgan. 

Mrs. Delores Williams, ASU First Lady, and Dr. Doris McGowan, Chair, Department of Education and Psychology, presented Ms. Morgan with a bouquet of roses and a certificate of appreciation for serving as a guest speaker at the Convocation, and as Mrs. Williams said, “illuminating the audience with her strive for success.”
