Let’s Go Walkin’ ASU”

The Center for Student Services and Outcomes hosted “Let’s Go Walkin’ ASU” at 5:30 p.m., October 10, 2007, on the Alcorn State University track field. The purpose of this initiative is to promote healthy living and wellness among students, faculty and staff. This initiative is in line with Governor Haley Barbour’s “Let’s Go Walkin’ Mississippi” Campaign.

Over sixty students, faculty, and staff joined in the two-mile walk. Participants received a pedometer, water, and an assortment of Granola bars.

Because of the success of the walk for a healthier A S “YOU”, the days will be extended to Monday and Wednesday beginning at 5:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to join in the quest to become healthier. As a reminder, an email notice will be sent prior to the day of the event.

The Center for Student Services and Outcomes is a Title III program.
