On Thursday, February 21, 2008, a former student while visiting the campus was involved in a fight with on-campus students. The altercation escalated to the former student leaving the campus and returning with an unloaded shotgun. He was immediately arrested by campus police. A two-count felony warrant was issued charging Mr. Clarence Hill, III with weapon's violation.

On February 25, 2008, Mr. Hill was bonded out of the Claiborne County Jail. He has been banned from campus. Campus police have increased patrols on campus and are seeking your assistance to ensure our campus is secure. If you see or make contact with Mr. Hill you are asked to contact Campus Police immediately at 3000.
