This residence hall was completed in 1968. It
is named after John Burrus, the Second President of Alcorn State
University.
It can house 300 upperclassmen and freshman females.
Burrus is home of the A.S.U. Softball team.
Activities that occupants can participate in include:
Breast Cancer Awareness week, Intramural sports, and Dances.

Honors Residence Hall

The Honors Hall has a dining hall that accommodates 150
persons, a study room on the second and third floor along with a
multi-purpose room (meeting room) on the third floor. Moreover, a
private room for a resident assistant is located on each floor except
the first floor.
This hall has 39 suites with semi-private bathrooms.
Beulah
Robinson Hall

Robinson Hall is the female freshman hall named after Mrs. Beulah
Robinson, the first woman to graduate from Alcorn State University.
It was erected in 1965 and houses 200 occupants. The
Resident Assistants provide opportunities for each resident to feel at
home and to get involved. Activities that occupants participate in
include Ice Cream socials, Movie night, Breast Cancer awareness week ,
Domestic Violence awareness week, Pajama Parties, and Valentine gift
exchange.
This three-story residence hall was completed in 1965
for female freshmen in Robinson Hall. This hall has 100 spacious
room and can accommodate 200 students. There are six bathrooms in
the residence hall. Two bathrooms are on each floor. Moreover, the
hall has a huge lobby and a reading room on the second floor.

Cleopatra
D. Thompson Tower

Cleopatra Thompson Tower can house 500
occupants. This residence hall is named after Cleopatra
Thompson, an alumnus and well-known educator.
Activities that occupants from Cleopatra Thompson
Tower participate in include Homecoming Activities, intramural sports,
and an End of the Year cookout. Each wing/ floor has their own
Christmas party or other holiday or even birthday parties. It is also
the home of the Volleyball Team.

Mable
Thomas Hall

It was erected in 1962 and named after Mrs. Mable
Thomas, a prominent Alumna.
Mable Thomas houses 160 occupants. There are
three floors and 80 rooms with two bathrooms on each floor.
It is the home of the ASU Basketball, Tennis, and
Track teams, as well as the ASU Sounds of Dynomite Marching band
females. Occupants participate in cookouts, sporting activities, and
homecoming activities.

Natchez Campus Residence Hall

The Natchez Residence Hall Complex was completed in
1998.
It can house 116 occupants. The building
is divided into three buildings where the main building contains the
Director's office, guest lobby, and kitchen area. The two connecting
buildings are the individual residence halls for males and females.
There is also a laundry room available.
The Student Nursing Hall houses any Co-Lin and Alcorn
State students.

Lanier
Hall

Lanier was named after former President W. H. Lanier.
It houses 104 occupants that is the most centrally
located residence hall among the nine residence halls. It is the closest
to the cafeteria and the chapel.

Alice
Tanner Hall

Alice Tanner Hall is named after Mrs. Alice Tanner,
the first Dean of Women at the University. It can house either
male or female residents.
Alice Tanner was erected in 1956 and houses 98
occupants. It is also handicap accessible.
Activities that students in Alice Tanner participate
in include: all homecoming activities, intramural sports and card
tournaments. It is the smallest residence hall on campus, but it gives
you that family environment that Alcorn is famous for.
