 Introduction
The nutrition and dietetics program is a
didactic program that meets the standards of education of the
American Dietetic Association. It prepares students with the
basic knowledge needed for entrance into post -
baccalaureate internships and pre-professional practice programs which lead to eligibility
for becoming a registered dietetian. Also, the program prepares students for entry-level
positions in nutrition/dietetics, and food service management in hospitals, other health
care facilities, cafeterias, restaurants and other food service, government agencies and
businesses. With proper advertisement and careful course work selection, students are
provided with a firm academic foundation for entering graduate school in food and nutrition.
