Community Resource Development (CRD) Program. Community Resource Development mission is to provide educational programs and technical assistance utilizing the latest research technology to strengthen the Communities and Governments capacity through-out the state of Mississippi. The CRD Office Partnership with state agencies and associations to improve the social and economic well-being of all Mississippians.

CRD works with organizations and local governments to help them:

  1. Analyze program and understand their needs
  2. Identify alternative courses of action  
  3. Make informed decisions
  4. Plan for the future
  5. Evaluate their development efforts  

CRD focuses on the core area of:

  • Strategic Planning/Value-Added Strategies
  • Community Leadership Skills
  • Needs Assessment
  • Collaboration
  • Delivery methods in workshops, conferences, seminars, local planning sessions, direct or indirect polling (data collection and analysis), one-on-one consultations, curriculum development newsletters, and other publications.
