Development of an Off-Campus
Distance Learning, Educational and Outreach Center
This project began in January 2001 with an objective to develop a distance
education program, through the establishment of distance learning sites
(DLS), thereby implementing an agricultural telecommunication network.
The project is developed to reach 300 small farmers and 600 youth with
in the first year.
Through the development of a distance education program, farmers and
youths will be able view instructional material on various aspects of
business, such as Accounting, Marketing, and Business Law. Also, faculty
from Alcorn State Universitys Agricultural Science Department
will be able to educate farmers and youth, in the state of Mississippi,
through the implementation of the Program.
