ACCOUNTING
School of Business

The objectives of the accounting major are:

  1. to equip students with a firm understanding of financial accounting theory and procedures, blended with broad communication and interpersonal skills;
  2. to pursue entry level career positions in public accounting, and financial control in private and public entities, both profit and non-profit;
  3. to prepare students for graduate studies in accounting and other related fields of business; and
  4. to prepare students for professional certification exams such as the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), etc.
