The Bachelor of Science in Animal Science program prepares students for careers in livestock farms, animal health product sales, USDA meat graders, Cooperative Extension Services, research and teaching, Farmers Home Administration, and many others. Animal Science is the study of the commercial production of dairy products, poultry products, meat products, dairy cattle, beef cattle, poultry, sheep, horses, and hogs.

There is a pre-veterinary option to the animal science degree.
