BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (FINANCE)
Department of Business

Two concentration areas are offered for the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Finance and Management.

The objectives of the Finance concentration are:

  1. to offer a curriculum designed to provide students with a comprehensive knowledge of financial theory and the ability to apply financial analysis, thereby enabling them to obtain managerial and administrative positions in sectors of business and government;
  2. to prepare majors who, upon completion of their undergraduate training, will be equipped to pursue advanced degrees in finance and related areas;
  3. to provide a program that focuses on the knowledge and skills necessary for careers in financial services and managerial finance;
  4. to equip students with a broad-based knowledge of the decision-making and analytical tools of business and government management; and
  5. to prepare students for professional certifications in finance, such as the Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
