INTERNATIONAL STUDIES PROGRAM

The International Studies Program aims at preparing
students for global living in today's interdependent world.
Interdisciplinary in character, it is designed to help
students
- acquire an in-depth understanding of the world's
cultural diversities and commonalties;
- broaden their perspectives and concerns for global
problems and develop a readiness to participate in
the solution of these problems; and
- prepare themselves for international careers in
cultural and technological exchanges, international
communications and transportation, international
trade, business and finance, relief and mutual aid,
social and economic cooperation, diplomacy, and
international education.
The International Studies Program offers a Concentration
in International Studies. A student may acquire a
Concentration in International Studies by completing with a
grade of "C" in any sten (30 credit hours) of the
following courses.

The International Studies Program also sponsors
educational activities such as
- international forums, colloquia, and panel
discussions on international subjects,
- foreign language shows
- Model United Nations,
- exhibitions of international artifacts,
- summer studies abroad, and
- exchange of students with foreign universities.
Students are encouraged to participate in these
activities. Interested students should contact the Program
Coordinator for further information.
