School of AREAS

Alcorn State University’s School of Agriculture, Research, Extension, and Applied Sciences (AREAS) has graduated generation after generation of leaders. Today, we combine our original land-grant heritage with a commitment to new methods, new ideas, and new discoveries. Our Master of Science in Applied Science and Technology Program immerses students in fields like computer networking and robotics, while the Department of Human Sciences focuses on child development and nutrition and dietetics. Agriculture degree programs, research, and extension services remain our core commitment, maximizing our economic impact on the state of Mississippi…and beyond.
