Dear Prospective Parade Participant(s)
Alcorn State University invites you to participate in our homecoming parade on Saturday, October 7, 2023.
The parade will begin at 9:00 am. You should plan to arrive through the campus’ back gate entrance: Highway 552 by 7:00 am. Once you arrive, you will be directed to the parade parking zones, unload your bus along with representatives and proceed to the Student Engagement Table. Your group must be in uniform to be recognized as an official parade participant. Persons not in uniform &/ not a part of the chaperone count (4) will not receive a wristband.
The ASU Braves will play Prairie View A&M University. Kick-off is scheduled for 2:00 pm. Your group may enter the game using:
- Any access gate (wristbands must be worn).
- Please have the correct numbers listed on your response form; we must have a total count for admission to the game.
- Only four (4) chaperones per group will be permitted to enter the game free of charge; additional chaperones will be required to pay the admission fee of $30.00/35.00 day of game.
Please complete and return the form to the Student Engagement Office via email: [email protected] / fax to (601) 877-4052, on or before September 28, 2023. There is a cap (1,500) on the number of participants; meaning registration can close before the September 28 deadline. You will be notified by the Office of Student Engagement if your registration has not been accepted. It is imperative that you return the response form. Failure to register your group will result in the inability to participate in the Homecoming 2023 parade and attend the game at no cost.
