Greek Life

Alcorn State University is home to 8 fraternity and sorority chapters who are all nationally recognized as members of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC). The National Pan-Hellenic Council aids and fosters the welfare of certain Greek letter organizations at Alcorn State University. All NPHC organizations are founded on the principles of scholarship, sisterhood/brotherhood and service.

The fraternities and sororities at ASU promote a balance academics, leadership, community service/philanthropy, and social events. Members of Greek organizations are expected to maintain high grades, to volunteer in the local community, and to get involved and be leaders in other campus organizations. Our Greek members donate thousands of dollars annually to local and national charities. Membership in a Greek organization is a lifetime commitment and in return members can expect to make lasting memories and lifelong brothers and sisters.

Membership Intake Process (MIP) is done annually through a variety of recruiting processes. In order to be eligible for Alcorn's MIP one must have attended the university's Anti-Hazing Workshop for the MIP term they're seeking membership. For more information on how you can join a Greek organization at ASU visit the organization's website below.
