David L. Whitney Health,
Physical Education and
Recreation Complex
(WHIT)

The David L. Whitney Health, Physical Education and Recreation Complex is the first building on the left past Welcome Center I and Willie Mae Latham Taylor Recreation Park. It sits next to the Jack Spinks Stadium. The complex was built in 1975 and houses the offices of the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation, and the offices of Intercollegiate Athletics. The health complex is where physical education classes are held and the Braves basketball home games occur here.

The facility features a gymnasium with a crowd capacity of 7,500 and 21 classroom units. There is also an olympic-size swimming pool, two handball courts, a dance studio, and rooms equipped for weight-lifting, gymnastics, wrestling, and physical exercise.
