Margo
McLeod is a junior, accounting and business administration double-major from
Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada. She was the second president of the
International Multicultural Student Organization during the 2004-2005 school
year. She is a member of the Women's Div. I golf team at Alcorn. Also, she is
the treasurer of Student's in Free Enterprise (S.I.F.E.), and a volunteer at
Cultural Crossroads, a community center in Port Gibson, MS.
Before coming to Alcorn, Margo graduated at the top of her Woodstock High
School senior class. Since she has come to Alcorn, she has maintained a 4.0
G.P.A. Margo's future plans include attending graduate school to pursue an
M.B.A, as well as working for a Fortune 500 company and traveling the world
for work, golf and pleasure.
Contrary to popular belief, she is not a newfie (not that there is anything
wrong with being one), but she is a very proud New Brunswicker for it's many
world's largest things, it's hospitable people and it's beautiful scenery in
all seasons. And yes, New Brunswick is also known for its potatoes, lumber
industry and seafood. Margo's most prized possession is her car, Bijou, and
her favorite quote is, "If not me, who? If not now, when?"

Gills (Louisiana, USA)

I am a sophomore Music
Education major, I am from Baton Rouge, LA. I am a member the ASU Concert
Choir, Men’s Choral and the Stop for Poetry Club. My hobbies are playing
sports, the guitar, and piano.
Before coming to
Alcorn I was a Park Ranger on the Natchez Trace Parkway for five years doing
Interpretation and Educational programs about the Park. I also am a wild land
firefighter. I’ve have been fighting wild land fires for four years, traveling
all over the United States.
I am proud of
Louisiana’s culture: it is unique to the United States. The food and music is
amazing. Some of our most popular foods are gumbo and crawfish. Jazz was also
invented in Louisiana; one well known inventor of Jazz was Louis Armstrong.
The dialect is close to a Haitian accent, French, Spanish, and African
languages rolled into one.

Reddix (Mississippi, USA)

My
name is Adrian Dion Reddix. I am a Sophomore, Political Science, Pre-Law
Concentration major. I am from Biloxi, MS. I am a Technical Consultant to the
Alcorn State University Women’s Soccer Team. Some of my hobbies are playing
my harmonica, guitar, and saxophone. I am also addicted to music of all kinds
from classical to meta-jazz. Jamming with my friends for hours upon end,
after studying of course, is another on of my pleasures. I went to high school
at Biloxi High School where I participated in the band, various sports, quiz
bowl team, mock trial, national honor society, and jazz band.
Participating in the IMSO has opened my eyes to new ways of thinking and new
experiences. It has helped me to meet a lot of different people with different
backgrounds and experiences. It also helps me to appreciate and embrace other
cultures while sharing and educating others about my own.
