Executive Assistant to the President
As executive assistant to the president of Alcorn State University, Karen Shedrick is an integral part of the University, providing superior administrative, hospitality and organizational support to the Office of the President. She monitors communications for the office, maintains the president’s calendar, schedules meetings and conferences as directed, provides assistance to enable effective management of the president’s time, efficiently prepares important documents and correspondences, coordinates travel arrangements, and provides general administrative and logistic support in the day-to-day operations of the Office of the President.
Shedrick has more than 26 years of top-level executive secretarial experience. She received both a Master of Science in secondary education (business) and her undergraduate degree in secretarial science from Alcorn State University.
