ALCORN STATE UNIVERSITY GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be a full time student with at least a 2.5 GPA and is performing to his/her full potential.

AMITE COUNTY FARM BUREAU SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must have a 3.0 or better GPA or a score of 18 or better on the ACT; must be resident of Amite County, MS

ENDOWED ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP – The Alcorn National Alumni Association awards annual scholarships to students on the basis of scholarly performance, need, and area of specialization. Preference is given to those students whose areas of specialization are critical manpower areas.

ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA SCHOLARSHIP  Need; scholarly performance and critical manpower area; 3.0 GPA or a composite score of 21 on the ACT for entering freshmen.

ALUMNI HALL OF FAME – SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE & APPLIED SCIENCES LEGENDARY AWARDS – Recipient must major in agriculture, human sciences, or advanced technology and have a 2.5 or better GPA. Recipient must also be a member of student organizations within the School of Agriculture & Applied Sciences.

ANDREW LEROY AND ODESSA HAYES GRAVES SCHOLARSHIP – Need, scholarly performance and critical manpower needs; 3.0 GPA.

ANNA BELL ROSS SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be in the Department of Human Sciences with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
 
ANNIE AND WILLIE  FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP – Two scholarships to be awarded; one is a general scholarship for a student with financial needs and the other for a physically-challenged, mobility-impaired or re-entry student.

ATMOS ENERGY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be a resident of an area served by Atmos Energy in Mississippi; must have 40 or more hours of volunteer service during semester and participate in civic or social organizations.

 
BEATRICE J. AND SIDNEY S. BOOSE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be a graduating college senior who has been accepted to a graduate degree program in the area of Psychology or Education. The recipient must have at least a 3.0 grade point average to qualify for the award. The applicants must write a brief essay which describes his her plans for graduate school and career.

BETA GAMMA BOULE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must have a 3.0 or higher GPA and and ACT score of 21 or higher. Recipient must be involved in outside community/extracurricular activities and have demonstrated leadership skills. Recipient must be a resident of Hinds, Madison, Rankin, or Claiborne County and must provide a one-page statement on how he/she plans to use his/her chosen profession to improve the quality of life for humanity.

 
C-SPIRE SCHOLARSHIP – Entering Junior; majoring in Business Administration, Computer Science or Applied Mathematics. Must have a 3.00 or better GPA, a U.S. Citizen, resident of Mississippi and recipients are recommended to the committee by the department chairs.

CARNELL LEWIS & FAMILY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND – Recipient must be enrolled in the School of Education & Psychology or the School of Arts & Sciences majoring in Elementary Education, Secondary Education, or a medical-related major and have at least a 2.75 GPA.

CHARLES AND THEODORA BOSTON ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Incoming freshman from West Marion High School (Foxworth, MS), East Marion High School (Columbia, MS), or Columbia High School (Columbia, MS) with a 3.0 or better GPA.

CHARLES V. AND MERCIDEES MCTEER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP -Applicant must have at least 2.5 GPA, resident of Mississippi and desires to return to the Delta to enhance the quality of life for its citizens or enter into public service in support of Mississippians.

CLASS OF 1950 SCHOLARSHIP FUND – Entering freshmen and currently enrolled students with need; scholarly performance; leadership; moral character, and active involvement in extra-curricular activities, 2.7 GPA or a composite score of 18 on ACT for entering freshmen.

CLASS OF 1951 SCHOLARSHIP – The recipient must be a needy and capable freshman student who does not qualify for grants because of his/her parent’s income status.

DONALD W. SOWELL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND – The awardee is selected on the basis of need, scholarly performance, and critical manpower areas. The recipient must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0 (B-average). Entering Freshmen must have a composite ACT score of 21 or more. All currently enrolled students and accepted freshmen are eligible.
 

DR. ALFRED RANKINS , JR. ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be an undergraduate student with at least 30 credit hours and a 3.0 or better GPA. Student must also be a Mississippi resident majoring in agricultural sciences or agricultural economics who plans to return to Alcorn and teach in the field of agriculture upon completion of a doctorate degree.

DR. ALPHA MORRIS DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY, INC. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP– Recipient must have at least a 2.75 GPA or a composite ACT score of 17.
 
DR. AND MRS. JESSE E. McGEE SCHOLARSHIP – Majors in biology, chemistry, physics and the sciences; need, personal hardship and scholarly performance; 2.75 GPA or a composite score of 18 on the ACT for entering freshmen.

DR. AND MRS. JOHN E. WALLS, JR. ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Student must a resident of Warren County, MS majoring in teacher education with a 3.0 or better GPA. Student must also be a family member of an Alcorn State University alumnus.

 
DR. FRANCES C. HENDERSON ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be formally accepted into an Alcorn State University Division of Nursing Program. Must have a 3.0 and must possess leadership ability. Student must have attained a minimum of 30 credits toward the BSN Program.

DR. HOLLY KIMBRELL NURSING EXCELLENCE (BOOK SCHOLARSHIP) – Awarded to a student with a GPA of 3.5 majoring in nursing, possibly pursuing a career as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

DR. JESSE J. LUCAS SCHOLARSHIP FUND: – To provide an annual scholarship for a needy African-American student who has graduated from a high school in Jefferson Davis or Lincoln County and has majored in Technology Education or Mathematics Education with the intentions of obtaining teacher education certification. The student selected must have a high school GPA of 2.75 or higher and a composite ACT score of 18 or higher. The student must earn a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA in their first semester and be in good standing with the University.
 
DR. JO C. PIERCE SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must have been formally accepted to the ASU School of Nursing Program. Must have completed a minimum of one semester of clinical nursing in the BSN Program; must have a 3.0 GPA; must have demonstrated excellence in academics and clinical achievement in nursing; must have attained a minimum of one semester in clinical nursing toward the ADN Program or the BSN Program.
 
DR. KENNETH L. SIMMONS, SR. AND MRS. CHRISTINE L. B. SIMMONS SCHOLARSHIP – 3.5 GPA; three letters of recommendation which attest to recipient’s character, scholarship, university and community participation. Submit letters with application.

DR. LIANG HUAM SCHOLARSHIP – Sophomores and juniors who intend to graduate with a degree in Agricultural Economics or International Agriculture; have a minimum of 3.00 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale; membership at the Agricultural Economics Club required; must attend a minimum of 80% of all meetings during the academic year.

DR. MALVIN A. WILLIAMS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP– Student with a 3.10 or better cumulative GPA majoring in Mathematics, Computer Science, Nursing, Advanced Technology or Elementary Education. Student is eligible to renew scholarship each year, must maintain a 3.10 GPA or better.

DR. NOLAND J. BOYD SCHOLARSHIP FOR SCIENCE – Awarded to student with a 3.0 or better GPA and an ACT score of 20 or better majoring in Chemistry or Mathematics; a member of Beta Kappa Chi; involved in community service; Parent/Family member must be an Alcorn State University alumnus.

DR. PAM FELDER’S THINKING CAPS SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to students with a 2.5 GPA or better.

DRRALEIGH AND LENORA V. ROBINSON SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to a male mathematics student with a 3.0 or better GPA

DR. REGINALD McGOWAN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Student with a 2.0 GPA or better

DRS. PAUL AND CAROLINE GAU ECONOMICS SCHOLARSHIP FOR EXCELLENCE – This scholarship is for sophomore, junior, or senior students majoring in economics with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above, who has demonstrated outstanding character and leadership. Selection by Economics faculty.
 

DRS. WORTH AND LINDEN C. HAYNES ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Student with 3.0 or better GPA majoring in Agricultural, Biological, or Human Science. Student must be a U.S. citizen, preferably a Mississippi resident.

DURRELL SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Full-time student with 2.75 or better GPA. Student must be a Mississippi resident, involved in social organizations, and preferably from a low-income, single parent home.

DURRELL DESIGN GROUP SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP– Recipient must be sophomore, junior, or senior enrolled in the School of Agriculture and Applied Sciences with at least a 2.8 GPA; must be Mississippi resident.
 
D. W. WILBURN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND – Applicants must be a graduate from a public school or private high school in Yazoo County, MS. Must have attained at least a combined score of 15 on the ACT or the SAT equivalent. Good campus citizen and must show leadership potential around campus. Must be a full time first year student at Alcorn State University and will be based on the recommendation of the committee overseeing the scholarship.
 
EDO HERITAGE UNION OF MISSISSIPPIINC SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to a financial need minority student from the United States or Nigeria with a 3.2 or better GPA.
ELLA LOREAN MARSHALL JOHNSON SCHOLARSHIP – Human Sciences, Biological Sciences, or Mathematics major; need; 2.5 GPA.
ENTERGY/ RADIATION TECHNOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP – Must be enrolled in Radiation Technology through Advanced Technology Department and will be chosen by the department chair. Recipient must be a full time student and have demonstrated good academic achievement by maintaining a 3.00 GPA or Better.
 
ERNEST REGAN SCHOLARSHIP – Full time students enrolled in the School of Business; Mississippi residents; Junior or senior; and GPA not less than 3.5.
 
ETHEL C. WALLACE-ODOM SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be a female student from Holmes County, Attala County, Holly Bluff or Drew, Mississippi; 2.5 or better GPA or composite ACT score of 18 for incoming freshman students. Student must plan to teach in the field of secondary education, especially under-served and/or under-resourced schools.

FARM CREDIT BANK OF TEXAS ALONG WITH SOUTHERN AG CREDIT – Recipient must be a Full-time Junior or Senior with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, enrolled in one of the following degree programs: Accounting, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Business, Business Administration, Business Management or Finance.

FASHION EXECUTIVE EDITOR OF TOMORROW BOOK SCHOLARSHIP – (SPRING AWARDS ONLY) Student with a 3.0 or better GPA from the School of Business or Mass Communication. Must aspire to become either a fashion brand or editor of a fashion publication.
 
FLORENCE DONNELL ALLEN SCHOLARSHIP FUND – The awardee will be selected on the basis of need, scholarly performance, and critical manpower areas. The recipient must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.00 (B-average). All currently enrolled students and entering Freshmen are eligible.
FOUNDATION FOR EDUCATION AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT – Student with a 3.0 GPA or better

GENEVA AND JAMES IRA JONES MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT – Awarded to one student from the School of Agriculture & Applied Sciences and one student from the School of Business. Recipients must have a 2.5 GPA or better and have employment aspirations in agriculture or business.

GEORGE AND TODD ALAN WHITAKER/WHITAKER FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP – Music major with the highest academic average; need and scholarly performance. Selection will be made by the Department of Music faculty.

GERTRUDE WHITING, ALPHA WHITING COX, AND PINKIE COX ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Student with a 2.0 or better GPA who is a family member of an Alcorn State University alumnus.

GLENDA KAY KING SCHOLARSHIP – Need; scholarly performance and critical manpower areas; 3.0 GPA or a composite score of 21 on the ACT for entering freshmen.

GULF COAST ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP – Need and scholarly performance; all currently enrolled students and accepted students are eligible if no coastal freshman applies.

HAMPTON ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND – Awarded to a student with a 2.5 or better GPA; a graduate of Humphreys County High School in Belzoni, MS; involved in music, sports, social club and/or community service; aspiring to be an entrepreneur or public servant.
 
HANDY WILLIAMSON SCHOLARSHIP– Recipient must be majoring in Agricultural Sciences with at least a 3.0 GPA; must be a resident of Smith, Jasper, or Jones Counties.
 
HATTIE M. GARNER SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be an African American male from the city of New Orleans, Louisiana majoring in Political Science and must have graduated from a public high school in New Orleans. This recipient must have a minimum of 20 community service hours through his church or other community outreach organization and must have a 3.3 or better GPA and an ACT composite score of 18 or better. This recipient should also have aspirations to become a federal lobbyist, lawyer, Capitol Hill staffer, member of Congress, state representative, city councilman, or work for a nonprofit that focuses on social justice issues. The recipient must submit a 300 word or more essay in response to the following question: Over the past 4 to 6 years, a greater focus has been put on social justice issues (i.e. police brutality in the Black community and economic disparity between Black and White communities). Understanding this, if you were given the opportunity to meet with President Biden and Vice President Harris to discuss issues of social equality and police reform, what policies would you recommend and why?
 

HAZEL ANN BROWN MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – International student with 3.5 or better GPA.

HERBERT AND PRINCE LEE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP – Student from Amite County, MS or Pike County, MS majoring in Agriculture with a 3.0 or better GPA. Student must be a member of School of Agriculture and Applied Sciences organizations and clubs and/or campus student organizations. Student must also be involved in activities focused on socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers or equity and social change.

HERBERT ANDERSON, JR. SCHOLARSHIP – Social science major who maintains at least a 2.75 GPA.
 
HONORS CAMPUS ALL-STAR CHALLENGE SCHOLARSHIP – The student must have been enrolled at the university for at least one academic year, must be in good standing with the university, and must have need of financial assistance. The student must have maintained a cumulative average of 3.5 and above. A non-scholarship student who is a member of the Campus All-Star Challenge team, whose cumulative average is less than 3.5, may be given special consideration for this scholarship. This student must have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the campus tournament and must have exhibited great potential as a member of the team. The student must be recommended by a faculty member. A committee of honors faculty will review the recommendations and select the recipient, with final approval being given by the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
 
HOWARD H. ROBINSON SCHOLARSHIP – Graduating high school senior or an undergraduate at Alcorn from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area; be accepted for admission to Alcorn State University as a high school senior; have a minimum of 2.75 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale; be a U.S. citizen; be available for a personal interview with the selection committee; submit completed application and documents by deadline.
INEZ STUTTS KNOWLES SCHOLARSHIP – Need; scholarly performance and critical manpower areas; 3.0 GPA or a composite score of 21 on the ACT for entering freshmen.
 

ISOM H. HERRON III, ‘42 SCHOLARSHIP – Junior or senior with the highest cumulative grade point average in a health science major, i.e. health science, biochemistry (pre-dentistry, pre-medicine or pre-optometry), biology (pre-dentistry, pre-medicine or pre-pharmacy), and medical technology.

JACK SPINKS SCHOLARSHIP FUND – The recipient must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (C average) on a four point system. Recipient must be an all-around student who exemplifies the spirit and the desire to achieve. Entering freshmen must have a composite ACT score of 15 or above. The University Scholarship Committee will be responsible for screening the recommended applicants and the selection of the recipient. All currently enrolled students and accepted freshmen are eligible. Good prior attendance is important.
 
JAMES RAY AND ANGELINE GUY POSEY SCHOLARSHIP FUND – The recipient must have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0.or is an entering freshmen with a composite ACT score of 18 or more. All currently enrolled students and accepted Freshmen are eligible (priority will be given to students from Jefferson Davis County, Covington County, Claiborne County, and other enrolled students and accepted Freshmen respectively).Preference is to be given to English and Agriculture majors expressing an interest in teaching. Prior recipients of the scholarship are eligible to reapply; however, preference is to be given to new applicants.
 
JAMES AND JOYCE BOLDEN SCHOLARSHIP – Book scholarship awarded to curent SGA President.
JAMES S. FORD SCHOLARSHIP – (LOS ANGELES ALUMNI CHAPTER) – All students eligible; 2.5 GPA or a composite score of 21 on the ACT for entering freshmen.

JAYLA GRAY VOCAL MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be an active member of the Alcorn State University Concert and/or Gospel Choir. Recipient must also be a resident of Hinds, Madison, Rankin, Copiah, or Yazoo County.

CHARLES J. D. TILLMAN AND CAROL ANN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Scholarship funds for Agriculture students; must maintain at least a 2.7 GPA and be a Mississippi resident.
JESSE ANDERSON MORRIS, SR. SCHOLARSHIP – Junior or senior majoring in Agriculture; excellent moral character; committed to a career in agriculture; potentials of scholarship and leadership. Selection by the faculty of the Department of Agriculture.

MS MINORITY BUSINESS ALLIANCE SCHOLARSHIP – Incoming Freshman majoring in Business Administration or related field with a 3.0 or better GPA.

JEWELL WENDELL FORTENBERRY, SR. SCHOLARSHIP – Entering freshman with a 3.0 GPA who is an Upward Bound, Special Services or business student; selection will be based on character, scholarship, need and a desire to achieve.
JOHN I. AND EPSY Y. HENDRICKS TEACHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP – Undergraduate teacher education major who has been accepted into and is in good standing in the ASU Teacher Education Program. Three letters of recommendation which attest to recipient’s moral character are required.
JOHN W. OWENS, SR. SCHOLARSHIP FUND – The recipient must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0. Entering freshmen must have a composite ACT score of 21 or more.

JONKENYA M. HARRIED SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must have at least a 2.5 GPA and major in an agriculture related field.

 
KERMIT & VERA BUTCHER SCHOLARSHIP FUND – The awardee will be selected on the basis of need and scholarly performance. The award will be made annually. The recipient must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0. Entering freshmen must have a composite ACT score of 18 or more. All currently enrolled students and accepted freshmen are eligible (priority will be given to students from Pike County, MS).

KIMBRELL’S DIGITAL SOLUTIONS BUSINESS EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to a student with a 2.5 GPA or better and majoring in a business related field; must be a member of Delta Mu Delta.

KIOR SCHOLARSHIP – Student with A 3.0 GPA or better majoring in Agriculture or Natural Science.

L.T. AND REGINA ELLIS SCHOLARSHIP – Entering freshman with 3.25 GPA; major in Mathematical Sciences, Education, Computer Science, Chemistry or Physics.

LAD ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP – Undergraduate Industrial Technology major; 2.0 GPA for entering freshmen and 2.5 thereafter; leadership qualities; need.

Recipients must also participate in outreach efforts (e.g. k-12), or diversity related organizations (e.g. women or URM science organizations) or research internships on campus or off site. Recipient must submit a one page essay describing their interest in a particular area of biological sciences and why this area is important to them and society as a whole along with projection of position in the field 10 years from now.

LONNIE AND SHIRLEY WALKER SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must have a GPA of at least 2.0 and must have played on the Alcorn State men’s or women’s basketball teams.

LUCIOUS TURNER, JR. ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND – Recipient GPA must be a 3.2, must be a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in good standing.

MABEL L. THOMAS FELLOWSHIP SCHOLARSHIP – Graduate student with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0; in-state student; student must do the Thesis Plan.

MABEL O. HENLEY LOTT SCHOLARSHIP – Need; scholarly performance and critical manpower area; 3.0 GPA or a composite score of 21 on the ACT for entering freshmen.
 
MACK AND GERTRUDE PAYTON ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must have completed one academic year at ASU; sophomore status with a 3.0 G.P.A. or better; no specific gender, but should exhibit leadership abilities, high moral characters, and a willingness to eventually support the university financially; preference to students from Scott and Copiah counties, but not limited to these counties.

MAZELLA JEFFERSON THOMAS SCHOLARSHIP – Student with 2.5 or better GPA and/or 18 or better ACT score. Must be a Mississippi resident majoring in Business or Technology and aspire to a career in business, technology, or accounting.

MEDGAR WILEY EVERS SCHOLARSHIP (ASU National Alumni Association) – 3.0 GPA or a composite score of 20 on the ACT for entering freshmen.

MILDRED HOLMES CROCKETT SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be an Education major from Washington, Sharkey, or Issaquena County, Mississippi with a 2.75 or better GPA. Recipient must be involved in community services and student organizations with aspirations to teach in public schools.

 
MISS ALCORN FOREVER CLUB SCHOLARSHIP – Female ASU student in the junior class; scholarly attributes, leadership, moral character and personality. This scholarship is not automatically awarded to Miss ASU.
MISSISSIPPI RURAL REHABILITATION CORPORATION – Full-time sophomore, junior, or senior student in the School of Agriculture and Applied Sciences; Mississippi residents; 3.0 GPA or higher.

MONTGOMERY-CARROLL-GRENADA ASU ALUMNI CHAPTER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be an Education major with a 2.75 or better GPA and 21 or better ACT score or 1060 or better SAT score. Recipient must aspire to be an elementary or secondary education teacher.

 
NICHOLS-VAUGHN SCHOLARSHIP – Full-time junior or senior elementary education major or a full-time graduate student already certified to teach at the elementary level in Mississippi; high school graduate of a public school in Coahoma, Tallahatchie, Bolivar, Quitman, Washington, Tunica, Leflore, Sunflower, Panola, Humphreys or Issaquena county; 3.0 GPA; active involvement in two (2) extracurricular, civic or community activities; show a commitment to holding a teaching assignment in a public elementary school in the Mississippi Delta.
 
NINNIE PRATER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND – Recipient must be an entering freshmen with a composite ACT score of 21 or above. Recipient must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above. Recipient will be selected on the basis of need as determined by Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); Recipient must be an African American. Preference given to a resident of Wilkinson County interested in pursuing a degree in the Department of Education, Department of Industrial Arts, Department of Science (Chemistry, Biology, Physics) or Department of Mathematical Sciences.
 
NISSAN SCHOLARSHIP – The scholarship shall be available to students majoring in a science-oriented curriculum which provides a strong background in the biological-environmental biology, chemical-environmental chemistry, physical sciences – soil and water sciences. Must be accepted to the academic program for Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and the Master of Biotechnology at the university and be certified by the Dean of the school regarding his or her potential to complete the rigors of the program; have achieved at least a 2.5 GPA at the high school level; maintain at least a 2.5 GPA while in the program.

O.W. MOSES SCHOLARSHIP – Student with 2.5 or better GPA who plans to become gainfully employed upon completion of bachelor’s degree.

OUDREY “BERNARD” WASHINGTON SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be majoring in Mass Communications with at least a 3.0 GPA.

PASSION & ASSERTIVENESS = SUCCESSFUL SCHOLARS (P.A.S.S.) SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must have 3.2 or better GPA and ACT score of 21 or better or SAT score of 1080 or better. Student must major in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and/or Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.), Education, and/or Nursing. Student must be involved in community service. Recipient must be a resident of Mississippi, with preference given to Washington, Warren, and Coahoma counties.

PERCY LEE BLACKMON, JR. STEM ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Student enrolled in a STEM-related program (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) with at 2.75 or better GPA.

PERRY EARL DAVIS SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be a Mississippi resident majoring in Agricultural Sciences with a 2.5 or better GPA. Recipient must be involved in community service and outreach.

PHI BETA SIGMA FRATERNITYINC AND FRIENDS SCHOLARHSHIP – Student must have a 2.5 or better GPA, involved in outside community activities, Mississippi resident and member of fraternity.

POLLY ANN WHITE ACCOUNTANCY SCHOLARSHIP – Junior or senior Accounting majors who are planning to pursue a career in accounting. Selections will be made by the accounting faculty based on character, scholarship and financial need.
 
PROFILE SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded by the University’s President to needy students who meet the Alcorn profile of being professionally competent, having a strong work ethic, having a value system and high moral character and being well-groomed.
 
RISSAH TEMPLE JOHN H. JACKSON SCHOLARSHIP – Students who major in any academic area with at least a GPA of 3.25. Outside community activities are required such as church, Free and Accepted Masons Prince Hall Affiliation, NAACP, Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Palace of Children. Recipients must also be members of a social organization (church) and residents of Mississippi. To maintain the award, recipients have to keep a 3.25 GPA.

RIVER HILLS BANK (Port Gibson, Mississippi) – Pays for one full scholarship each year to a top entering freshman from a Claiborne County high school.

ROBERT CLAYTON MOORE SCHOLARSHIP – Need; scholarly performance and critical academic shortage areas; 3.0 GPA or a composite score of 21 on the ACT for entering freshmen.

SAM AND BEATRICE CADNEY SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to a student with a 2.5 or better GPA; in School of Agriculture and Applied Sciences; a resident of Claiborne or Jefferson Counties.

SAMUEL GRIFFIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must have a 2.0 or better GPA and be an active member of the Alcorn State University “Sounds of Dyn-o-mite” Marching Band.

SANDERSON FARMS SCHOLARSHIP  Applicant must have a 3.00 or better GPA; majoring in Agriculture.

SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE AND APPLIED SCIENCES ALUMNI HALL OF FAME SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be a student in the School of Agriculture and Applied Sciences with a 2.5 or beter GPA and 16 or better ACT score. Recipient must be a member of student departmental organizations with aspirations to be gainfully employed or become an entrepreneur in their field of study.

STEVE LUSE TEACHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP – The recipient is selected on the basis of need, scholarly performance, and critical manpower areas. Applicants must have maintained a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0. Entering freshmen must have a composite ACT score of 20 or more. Preference is given to high school graduates of a public school in Attala, Leake, Scott, or Yazoo counties. Applicants must demonstrate good character and a commitment to holding a teaching assignment in a public elementary, middle, or high school in Mississippi.

THOMAS AND LAURA RATCLIFF LENIOR PSYCHOLOGY AND ORAL LANGUAGE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be a 2nd year student who has maintained a 2.0 or a C average and is performing to his/her full potential.
THURGOOD MARSHALL SCHOLARSHIPS – Students who are qualified to for the scholarship must provide the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund with a 5X8 black and white or color photo of the scholarship recipient for the Fund to use for publicity purposes. Must maintain a current and cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
 
TOM JOYNER SCHOLARSHIPS – While funds are available these scholarships help to pay the last few dollars to stay in school or to buy books at the ASU bookstore.
 
VICKSBURG HOSPITAL MEDICAL FOUNDATION – Nursing and pre-medicine majors including 2nd year pre-nursing students; 3.0 GPA; need; good moral character and leadership ability. Preferred students are of Claiborne, Issaquena, Sharkey and Warren counties in Mississippi; and Madison and Tensas parishes in Louisiana. Recipients are encouraged to consider establishing a professional career in the Vicksburg, MS area. Selections are made by department faculty.

THE VISION GROUP ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must have a 2.8 GPA and be enrolled in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) program. Recipient must also participate in extracurricular activities, social organizations and/or community service. Recipient must be a U.S. citizen.

VOGUE SOCIALITE CLUB, INC. SCHOLARSHIP – Major in Family and Consumer Sciences; need; GPA of 3.0 in major courses and 2.0 overall; loyalty and cooperation to the department and the university; dedication to the profession. Department faculty must recommend at least two names to the University Scholarship Committee for one to be selected.
WALTHALL COUNTY ASU ALUMNI ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Student will be chosen by Walthall County ASU Alumni committee.

WALTER WASHINGTON SCHOLARSHIP – Need; scholarly performance and critical manpower needs; 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to students in mathematics and the sciences. Priority will be given to students in the Honors Program.

WELLINGTON SWINDALL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Student in good standing with the University and with financial needs.

W.F. JACKSON SCHOLARSHIP – Agriculture major; need, scholarly performance and critical manpower area; 3.0 GPA or a composite score of 21 on the ACT for entering freshmen.

WILLIAM SHELTON AND ADDIE R. NELSON SCHOLARSHIP – Need, scholarly performance and critical manpower areas; 3.0 GPA or a composite score of 21 on the ACT for entering freshmen.

WILLIAMS AND REED SCHOLARSHIP – Recipients must be rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors of any major from the following Mississippi counties: Hancock, Harrison, or Pike. Rising juniors or seniors in the School of Business from Nigeria and Ghana are also eligible. All recipients must have a 3.0 or better GPA and demonstrated financial need. Applicants must included desired goals upon graduation from Alcorn in submitted essay.

WILLIE M. TURNER SIAS – Elementary Education major from the states of Mississippi, Illinois or Michigan with at least a 2.5 or better GPA.

WILLIS BRUMFIELD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP – A Junior majoring in Accounting or Finance chosen by the Dean of the School of Business. The recipient must submit a brief bio and photo to the ASU Foundation as soon as they receive notification of receiving the award.

W. S. DEMBY SCHOLARSHIP (Selection made by the VICKSBURG/WARREN ALUMNI CHAPTER) – Warren County student with the highest cumulative grade point average.
