Applicants who do not meet the regular
admission requirements, may be admitted conditionally as a special
student to the School of Graduate Studies and allowed to take 500-level
foundation courses. Conditions for special admission include:
• Applicant has not met the minimum GPA requirement or 2.75 or upper
division GPA of 3.00.
• Applicant has a GMAT score of less than 350 and a below par formula
score.
• Applicant has a deficient area and is required to take foundation
courses, but has not taken the GMAT.
• Applicants who have had all foundation courses waived may not be
admitted (even conditionally) to the MBA Program without a GMAT score. A
one-semester exemption may be made for applicants who meet one or more
of the following criteria:
a. A graduate
degree in another academic discipline.
b. Professional certification (CPA, CMA, CFA, etc.)
c. Significant career experience.
d. A score of 1,000 or above on the verbal and quantitative
sections of the Graduate Record Exam, or an equivalent score on the
Law School Admissions Test.
e. An undergraduate GPA and/or ACT score which indicates a
high probability for gaining unconditional admission.
Applicants granted the one-semester exemption must take the GMAT during
their first semester of course work and meet all the requirements for
regular admission.
