American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)
The U.S. Congress passed a $789 billion economic stimulus package called the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) on Feb. 13, 2009 and it was signed into law by President Obama on Feb. 17, 2009. The bill was passed to rapidly stimulate the economy and help create and save jobs.
