Alcorn to hold its third annual Presidential Encampment August 19

“Alcorn Excellence: Developing S.M.A.R.T. Goals” is the theme of the Alcorn State University Presidential Encampment 2013 that will be held beginning 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 19, in the James L. Bolden Campus Union Ballroom.

During this important event that marks the beginning of the new academic year, Alcorn 18th President M. Christopher Brown II will give a State of the University address to faculty, staff and community leaders, discuss in detail the institution’s realignment and answer questions during the open forum.

Alcorn’s constituents will also hear from the University’s administrators and participate in the third annual Hiram Rhodes Revels Lecture by keynote speaker Dr. Walter M. Kimbrough, 7th President of Dillard University.
