On Saturday, October 31, 2009 (Halloween) the Natchez Campus faculty, staff and students are participating in the Broadway Bash Chili Cookoff. This event is held each year to raise funds for the Natchez Children’s Home. It will be held on the bluff on Broadway Street come rain or shine. The Natchez Campus team would appreciate your support. The cooking of the chili takes place totally on site starting at 6:30 a.m. It will be served to the public between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Many will be in costume since it is Halloween. The event is open to the public. There is no admission charge; however, if you wish to enjoy the chili and vote for the Natchez Campus team, a chili tasting kit must be purchased from the Natchez Children’s Home booth on site - $5.00 per tasting kit. You then get to sample the chili from each team and vote for the People’s Choice Best Chili award. The Natchez Campus Team would like to win; the team expects to have the best chili. There are several awards for which the team will be competing.
There will be various activities going on and Brandon McCraney will be performing from 10:30 until 1:30 p.m. (Tips appreciated.) 95 Country will be broadcasting live from the event between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Please support the Natchez Campus Team and the Natchez Children’s Home.
