ASU Foundation Board convenes to continue work on 2011 campaign priorities
On October 30, 2010, Alcorn State University Foundation Inc. held its quarterly Board of Directors meeting to discuss issues relevant to the continuing success of the University. Topics discussed include the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), the new Alcorn bus campaign, the progress of the University’s presidential search, the formation of an investment committee as well as other upcoming projects and events.
“In August, the 2011 campaign goal of $1.4 million was announced, as well as funding priorities to support scholarships and to erect a life-size statue of Medgar Wiley Evers ’52 on the Lorman campus,” stated Stephen McDaniel, vice president for development and marketing and executive director, Alcorn State University Foundation Inc. “The board is excited about the funding priorities and looking forward to working on the projects.”
The next Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for January 2011.
