Alejandro Dominguez, a senior business administration major from San Luis Potosi, Mexico, is set to fully use the opportunities that Alcorn provides to its students. He recently completed a semester of studies at Philipps Universitat, Marburg, Germany, where he studied the German language and attended classes in finance, European history, production theory and business. He also had an opportunity to travel in Europe and over the course of his study aboard semester, visit France, Spain and Belgium. “It was a dream of mine to study abroad and I happily embraced the opportunity to participate in the Study Abroad Program offered by the ASU Global Programs,” shares Alejandro.

Now deep into his final semester at Alcorn State University, Alejandro is hard at work preparing for graduation in May and thinking about his future. During his time spent in Europe, Alejandro defined his career goals, deciding how he wanted to use his business degree. Armed with a new worldly view, German language, skills and know-how, Alejandro is eager to combine his degree with an international lifestyle, possibly returning to Germany to enter graduate school.

Inspired by his semester abroad, he‘s made himself available to narrate his positive experience to students interested in learning about the world and study abroad.

“This experience has broadened my horizons and taught me to think on a global scale,” said Alejandro. “It was an experience of a lifetime. It has helped me in every aspect of my life”.
