ASU mass communications major Arielle Buchmann interns with NBC 10 in Philadelphia

Arielle Buchmann, a rising senior majoring in mass communications, had an amazing experience this summer interning with NBC 10 in Philadelphia.

Throughout the internship, Arielle had the opportunity to generate story ideas for both the investigator shows and the news; she shadowed reporters on various stories and put together her own news stories as well.

“Working as an investigator news summer intern for NBC was like a dream come true for me,” shares the exited student. “This internship gave me a chance to see that broadcast journalism is really what I want to pursue. I learned so much and improved my skills over the summer.”

Arielle came to Alcorn in 2009, from Zurich, Switzerland, to work on her degree and play tennis for the ASU Lady Braves. She has made a lot of friends and is very popular within the student body, known for her energy, enthusiasm and willingness to help. In 2010, international students elected her to serve as president of the International and Multicultural Student Organization.
