2nd Quarter - 2011 Incident Log

4-05-2011 ___ around 4:30 pm Capt. R. Hammett took a reports from  students that all three of their laptops were stolen from their room  in Building C.   One of the students said he distinctly locked the door and the door was locked when they returned. 

4-05-2011 ___ around 11:30 pm  Capt. R. Hammett took a reports from  two students concerning another assaulting and one.  Claims  and  print-outs that he is misusing facebook to slander her, texting and phone calls has he  afraid to go anywhere on campus.  The victim’s  brother and the other have had a fight.  A behavioral restriction was put in place; it bans him from any contact with her. 

4-05-2011 ___ around 11:14 pm  Sgt. K. Collins took statements  from students.  One student reported that he gave  another $600 to keep for him and the money was stolen.  He  put the money in the room in  a place only four knew where it  was.  Two are roommates in room in Revels Hall.  The room is always unlocked because one of them lost his keys. The case awaited camera identification. 

4-06-2011 ___ around 9:50 am  Officer B. Brown took a report from the Miss-Lou Vending Machine man who reported that $375 was missing from his wallet.  The vending machine man said he used the restroom.  The wallet was recovered at the Revels Hall front desk.  All that was missing was the money.  

 4-10-2011 ___ around 1:00 pm  Officer B. Brown took a report from a student.  He said that his room in building C had been broken into.  His two friend were playing video games until two.  He said he was sure to lock the door after they left.  He went to sleep just before 3 am;  he woke up just after 9:30 am and the xbox and games were gone.  

4-12-2011 ___ around 9:45 am  Lt Walker filed a report concerning the Natchez Farmer’s Market.  A desktop computer was stolen from the ASU office at the Natchez Farmer’s Market.  The manager reported  that she was certain she locked the doors.  Two other tenants rent spaces in the building. The Natchez police was called to investigate.   

4-12-2011 ___ around 10:30 am Lt Walker filed a report from a student that another student has been verbally harassing her.  It was denied. 

4-12-2011 ___ around 9:50 am Lt Walker filed a report from a student that someone vandalized her vehicle. 

4-12-2011 ___ around 11:55 pm  Major K. King filed a report concerning  a student who was transported to the hospital.   She thought that she was having a miscarriage since she had one before. 

4-13-2011 ___ around 9:30 am Lt Walker filed a report from a staff member that 3 laptops were missing from the Rural Life and Economic Development Center. 

4-13-2011 ___ around 7:30 pm Officer T. Thomas took a report from a student in Building D that his xbox was stolen.  A search his room produced a liquor bottle and drug paraphernalia. 

4-14-2011 ___ around 10:00 pm Officer  Major K. King who took a report from a student who punched another after he  bumped into him and threw a drink of alcohol in his face. 

4-17-2011 ___ around 10:30  pm  Officers Katrina Moore and Tyrone Earls responded to call from the Pizza Hut in the student union.  One of the workers of the register said a student pushed the button to put in his order and it rang  up twice.  He then said that he was not going to pay for 2 pasta.  The student was sent to the disciplinary board. 

4-17-2011 ___ around 11:30  pm  campus police facilitated the arrest of a student who entered a student function and refused to surrender his alcohol bottle to officers. 

4-21-2011 ___ around 9:00  pm  officers were called to a student function where a student was detained for disorderly conduct and  failure to comply with officers. 

4-21-2011 ___ around noon two laptops were taken from  a room in building C.  Two students  filed the report that main door to the suite door was unlocked and it looked like it was left unlocked purposely.   

4-22-2011 ___ around 1:20 pm Lt Walker filed a report from  a student in  building C –room 150 that his laptop was stolen. 

4-23-2011 ___ around 10:50 pm Sgt. K. Collins took a statement from a student in  Building D  that he had items stolen from him.  A chain, a laptop and $1200 in cash was reported taken.  He  said he let a guy in his room to give him a pack of noodle.  He didn’t know him and the guy saw his items.  There was evidence of forced entry in both the sitting area of the room. 

4-24-2011 ___ around 9:00 pm Sgt. K. Collins took a statement from  a student in  Building C that his clothes and shoes were taken but not his play station or other valuables.  He left campus for the weekend, when he returned they were gone.  His roommate doesn’t have his key so the room is left unlocked a lot. 

4-26-2011 ___ around 3:00 pm Lt Walker filed a report from  a student  that his book-bag was taken after he left it on the bench outside the dining hall. 

4-26-2011 ___ around 2:00 pm Lt Walker filed a report from  a student who said her laptop was stolen.  She left the laptop on the bed and went to an appointment.  She left her roommate in the room. She said she did not lock the door because the roommate was there.  When she returned, the roommate was there and said nobody had been in the room. 

4-27-2011 ___ around 5:30 pm  Officer T. Thomas took and statement from  a student that his cousin assaulted him by hitting him with his crutches repeatedly. 

4-28-2011 ___ around 12:34 am Major King filed a report that a student was heavily intoxicated and had to be escorted to her room.  She has been in this condition before. 

4-28-2011 ___ around 3:00 pm Lt Walker filed a report from a student who said he left his key in the door the go inside to get something.  He returned moments later and the key were gone.  Someone may have walked by and grabbed them.  A roll-back of the camera was requested. 

4-28-2011 ___ around 3:45 pm police dispatcher, Tracy McGloster took a statement from a student that someone punched him in that face after a disagreement from a basketball game. 

4-28-2011 ___ around 3:50 pm Officer K. Moore was dispatched to Albert Lott dormitory was she was informed of some vandalism.  She also saw that the front window of Robinson Hall was broken. 

4-28-2011 ___ around 3:50 pm Officer K. Moore filed a report that two female students had a fight.   They have had problems with each other before.  This is incident is where the dorm matron filed a report.  

4-28-2011 ___ around 11:00 pm Officer T. Thomas took a report from a student who reported that his vehicle back window had been shattered; nothing was stolen. 

4-30-2011 ___ around 7:05 pm Col. C. Jackson filed a report about two students in a fight.  One was in in line at the café and were taking about Mississippians etc. when the other over-heard them and commented.  They told her they were not talking to her.  She became loud, verbal and hit Watts.  Col. Jackson arrived and broke them up. 

5-02-2011 ___ around 9:30 am Officer C Lewis filed a report from a student  that his television was taken from his room. 

5-02-2011 ___ around 1:50 pm Officer T. Earls filed a report from a student who showed Officer Earls that his tires had been cut.   

5-02-2011 ___ around 12:00 am Sgt K. Collins pursued a complaint from a student who reported that  her ex-boyfriend who is not a student was following her on campus.  A search of the campus for the vehicle yielded no results. 

5-03-2011 ___ around 12:30 am Sgt K. Collins, Officer I Williams and Fire Chief Shaffer responded to  a residential fire.  It was contained easily with injury and too much property damage. 

5-03-2011 ___ around 5:45 am Officers K. Moore and T. Earls were dispatched to the dining hall to  a disturbance between Gloria Miller and Ringo James.  Miller said that James hit her while James said that Miller came after him with t fork and her pushed her. 

5-03-2011 ___ around 6:30 am Officer B. Brown reported disorderly conduct from a student who Officer Brown stated that she and other officers have had problems with her before this incident.  Officer Brown was on foot patrol when she noticed the student  parked on the grass.  She moved her car to the bike lane was also a violation.  She was given citations. 

5-03-2011 ___ around 12:30 am Sgt K. Collins,  Officer I Williams and Fire Chief Shaffer responded to  a residential fire.  It was contained easily with injury and too much property damage.  

5-04-2011 ___ around 9:00 pm  as student came to the police station to report that his bike was stolen and that he could identify who was riding it. 

5-05-2011 ___ around 10:50 pm  an employee  from the Pizza Hut came to the police station to report that a student  took two orders of food.  He along with another placed the orders and ran out with them.  He  said that it was part of his pledging and fraternity --  disciplinary action followed. 

5-06-2011 ___ around 3:25 pm Office K. Moore filed a report from a student  about a television being taken from his room.  He is the roommate the student who reported  the television taken on the 5/2/11. He made a report with the dorm dean and not campus police until this date. 

5-06-2011 ___ around 3:00 pm Lt. Walker filed a report from a student  who came by to report several items missing from his  room. 5-30-2011 ___ around 8:53  pm  Officer K. Moore filed a report that  a staff member  reported that that his gun was taken out of his truck while he was unpacking taking his stuff to his apartment.  Searches of the apartment, vehicle, and home did not produce the gun. 

5-30-2011 ___ around  9:15 pm Officer K. Moore filed a report that  a window in Rowan Hall was broken out.  It is a possible vandalism. 

6-01-2011 ___ around 11:38 am Captain Hammett took a statement from a student who reported that someone took her gold card and debit card out of her pouch when she went to the restroom.  She left the pouch in the lobby and went in the restroom.  When she came back, she noticed them gone. 

6-02-2011 ___ around 12:10 pm  Officer N. Johnson was dispatched to the service station on a reported theft.  A student  had reportedly  took items and put them in her purse.  When asked what she had in her purse, she got into a vehicle and locked that door.  An eye-witness also followed her to the administration building.  Officer Johnson call for backup.  Col. Jackson assisted her.  When they found the vehicle and Collins, Collins became offensive and vocal.  She was arrest for failure to comply with officers and theft. 

6-05-2011 ___ around  8:15 pm  Officer I  Williams responded to a theft at building B.  A student left with the baseball team for  5 days.  When she returned, she reported several item missing from her room.  

6-06-2011 ___ around  2:28 pm  Officer N. Johnson responded to a call to Albert Lott dormitory.  Two football campers had some items stolen from their room.  There were no signs of forced entry.  It happened between 8:30 and 11:30 am. 

6-07-2011 ___ around  11:50 am  Officer N. Johnson responded to a call to Albert Lott dormitory.  Two football campers has some items  and cash money stolen. 

6-07-2011 ___ around  11:00 am  Col. C. Jackson took a report from a student who reported that his vehicle was broken into and vandalized.  Some items was missing. 

6-07-2011 ___ around  5:00 pm  Sgt J. Williams  took a report from  a student who reported that his vehicle was broken into and some items were taken. 

6-08-2011 ___ around  9:30 pm Officer B. Brown stopped a student  for loud music.  He refused to comply  and incited the crowd so Officer Brown called for backup . Sgt. Williams and Officer Goods responded and assisted in crowd control.  He was taken to the station where he first gave false information.  He finally gave the correct information and was charged accordingly. 

6-09-2011 ___ around  8:10 pm Officer B. Brown  and Officer Goods were dispatched to Burrus Hall in reference to fighting.  He stated that he had confrontation with some guys earlier.  He reported that he was kicked twice.  Two female friends of him were also  jumped on:  kicked and hit.   

6-12-2011 ___ around  7:30 pm Officers E. Goods,  K. Moore and FD2 Shaifer responded to a trash can fire in  the area of Burrus and Robinson. 

6-13-2011 ___ around  2:40 pm Major  K. King and Officer  K. Moore  responded to a call that someone was  shooting firecracker in Burrus Hall.  When  the officers arrived, some students ran into Robinson Hall.  The Officer along with Dean, Martilla Harris searched the dorm for the perpetrators. While searching, smelled the smoking of marijuana.
