More than Thirty Years of Service Rendered to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

Greetings:

We welcome your visit to the Alcorn State University Gospel Choir's website.  We hope that you will be blessed by what has been prepared for you.  The Holy Scriptures tell us that God knew us even before we were born.  His will for our lives was already decided.   When the two of us matriculated at Alcorn in 1970, little did we know that we were embarking upon our life's mission -- advising and mentoring the Alcorn State University Gospel Choir.  This mission began when each of us was inspired by the Holy Spirit to become members of the ASU Gospel Choir, which was being organized by Jackie and Maurice Allen, a sister and brother team.

From our membership in the choir, we developed a relationship with each other and with the choir that has survived the many "storms" and "ups and downs" of life.  We give all the praise and glory to our Heavenly Father, for we know that it has been through Him that all of these years have been made possible.  All of the patience, guidance, and wisdom -- all of the love that we have been able to provide the students that have come through the Alcorn State University Gospel Choir has been sanctioned by Almighty God.  All of the accomplishments of this choir over the years have been by His grace.  And for all of this, we are thankful.

We wish for all of you blessed and rewarding tomorrows.
