National Organization of Professional Black NCRS Scholarships
The National Organization of Professional Black NRCS Employees (NOPBNRCSE) seeks to enhance the awareness and improve the level of education and professional development of Black employees within the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), and to increase the participation of Blacks in agriculture, natural resources, and related fields.
The Kansas Chapter of the National Organization of Professional Black Natural Resource Conservation Service employees (NOPBNRCSE) is committed to providing a $500.00 scholarship in honor of the late Rick Porter. The *Rick Porter Scholarship* is for a deserving student pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in any of the Agricultural Science related fields at one of the eighteen 1890 Historically Black Land-Grant Institutions.
To apply for the scholarship, you will need to fill out the attached packet and send back by March 15, 2016. The scholarship will be awarded to a recipient the beginning of the fall 2016 semester.
