2023 Mid-Winter Conference
Dear Alcornites:
Greetings! On behalf of the Alcorn State University National Alumni Association-Carolinas Alumni Chapter, Inc., it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the 46th Annual Mid-Winter Conference scheduled for March 2-5, 2023, in Charlotte, North Carolina. We are honored to serve as your host for this event and look forward to seeing alums, university faculty and staff, students, vendors, and supporters in the Carolinas.
We are working diligently to create an experience of a lifetime for all attendees that will be marked with a spirit of excellence for many years to come. In keeping with our theme, “The Fierce Urgency of Now”, the conference will celebrate the legacy and rich values of Alcorn State University while acknowledging what lies beneath the shades of giant trees of our beloved Alma Mater.
We are excited to announce that alumna Myrlie Evers-Williams, American civil rights activist and journalist, will be our honorary speaker for the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Legacy Luncheon, and Mr. Marc Morial, president and CEO of the National Urban League, will be our keynote speaker for the Dr. Walter Washington Signature Gala.
Please join us to learn and engage as we present the joint agendas for the National Alumni Association and Alcorn State University. This will also be a great time to fellowship with the Alcorn family and experience the social culture of Charlotte, NC aka The Queen City, and all that it has to offer. We encourage you to register early as we anticipate that a record number of Alcornites, families, friends, and supporters will attend the Mid-Winter Conference 2023.
