2022 1890s Strategic Meeting

The 1890s Land Grant Institution strategic planning meeting will be co-hosted by the Socially Disadvantaged Farmers and Ranchers Policy Center at Alcorn State University and Southern University Agricultural and Mechanical College. The two-day strategic planning meeting, June 7th and 8th, is designed to produce a strategy with actionable items and commitments from the 1890 land grant community of how we plan to contribute to USDA’s Priorities for 2022. The process will include breakout sessions to discuss each priority and brainstorming of ideas and actions. Participants from the 1890 land-grants will include University presidents/ chancellors, deans of agriculture, research and extension directors, and leadership from the 1890 Universities Foundation.
