This webpage offers information about Alcorn’s work in support of Title IX, a federal policy administered by the Office of Civil Rights under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Education that outlines the responsibilities of schools to ensure an experience for all students that is free from discrimination, sexual harassment, or sexual violence. The university has developed and implemented a series of measures to demonstrate compliance with all federal mandates and to fulfill our obligation to supporting and nurturing a safe living, learning, and working environment for everyone.
Anyone subjected to sexual misconduct is encouraged to utilize available support measures and/or file a Formal Complaint with the Title IX office. Supportive measures are available whether or not a Formal Complaint is filed. A Formal Complaint maybe filed with Alcorn’s Title IX Coordinator in person, by mail, or by electronic mail, by using the contact information below for the Title IX Coordinator.

Any member or potential member of the Alcorn community may request information or advice, including whether certain conduct violates policy; seek informal resolution; or file a Formal Complaint. Again, anyone with actual knowledge of sexual harassment is encouraged to bring their concerns to the Title IX Coordinator.
