Alcorn recognized among top HBCUs with Online Programs by The Hundred-Seven
The quality of Alcorn State University's online courses is being recognized by a website that features Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
The Hundred-Seven listed Alcorn on its Top HBCUs with Online Programs. The University is one of 13 schools that were recognized. Alcorn is one of two Mississippi schools that made the list.
Ranging from certificate programs to doctoral degrees, more than 30 HBCUs offer programs that include business, education, computer science, and nursing. The Hundred-Seven has researched educational offerings at all HBCUs and published a listing of the Top HBCUs offering online programs.
Schools selected for the listing were included based on the number of programs offered and those that offer the most popular online programs as listed by US News and World Report.
The Hundred-Seven was founded by educator, historian and HBCU expert, Leslie D.W. Jones to promote higher education through Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The Hundred-Seven's website, which launched in February, not only highlights the accomplishments of HBCUs and their alumni but includes the only online searchable database that features every academic program offered by every HBCU.
