Funeral services for Terric Carr scheduled for today, tomorrow
Memorial services for Terric Carr, an Alcorn State University student that passed away last week, will be held in his hometown.
A viewing will be held for Terric Carr today from 2-5 p.m. at J. F. Brittenum & Son Funeral Home, located on 125 North Memphis Street in Holly Springs, Mississippi.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 17, at 1 p.m. at Isom Chapel C. M. E. Church, located on 1436 Isom Chapel Road in Holly Springs.
According to posts made on his Facebook page by fellow Alcornites, Carr was known for being a caring friend whose goal was to uplift others. Annica Bullard posted, “You helped me build my confidence at Alcorn…Those compliments took me a long way. I’m so glad the Lord saw fit for me to experience and know you, only if for a moment in life.”
Carr was also well respected by his choir mates for his honesty and upbeat personality. Terry Page said, “You were one of my favorite freshmen in the choir. You always kept it real with me, and I will forever appreciate you. I’m glad God gave me a chance to meet you.”
The university is offering and will continue to provide counseling and support services to those during their time of need.
