Quentin Liggans, former EMT at Alcorn, passes away, funeral services this weekend
Quentin Liggans, who served as a firefighter and emergency medical technician (EMT) at Alcorn State University, passed away Monday, Jan. 10.
On Friday, Jan. 14, Visitation will be held at Barnes Funeral Chapel and Mortuary Service from 1 -5 p.m. in Port Gibson, Mississippi. The Funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist M.B. Church, also in Port Gibson. The Rev. Kevin L. Winters Sr. will officiate the service.
The final committal will be held at McCay Cemetery in Port Gibson. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed.
Liggans worked at Alcorn for eight years. He is remembered as a dedicated employee who valued excellence.
