WINTER WEATHER UPDATE
STATUS:
Alcorn State University will DELAY OPENING until 10:00 a.m., Wed., Jan. 17.
Roads and travel conditions may be hazardous in certain areas including icing along bridges and overpasses as temperatures are expected to remain well into the teens and below freezing throughout the day. The Alcorn community is advised to monitor weather conditions closely and to exercise extreme caution when walking and moving about campus and in their travel plans. Faculty and staff who believe their immediate situation prohibits safe travel are encouraged to make contact with their immediate supervisor.
When weather conditions pose a significant threat to the safety of students, faculty and staff and visitors, Alcorn will delay its opening time, close early or close for the day. The university will issue updates to this notice as conditions warrant.
