Alcorn issues game day reminders, to celebrate military, veterans and first responders

Alcorn State University will recognize the contributions of all those who serve in uniform and help ensure our nation’s vitality. At its 2 p.m. football game Saturday versus Alabama A&M in Spinks-Casem Stadium, the university will celebrate and honor military service members, veterans and first responders.

All military personnel, veterans and first responders (law enforcement, fire & EMT/paramedics, etc.) will be admitted to the game for free at all gates with proper identification (D.O.D. ID Card, VA ID Card, badge, etc.). Family members and other guests must purchase a ticket.

Additionally, the university will welcome Mr. Eddie Hargo, a 94-year old World War II veteran, university high school alumnus and former employee to serve as Honorary Team Captain.
