Alumnus Terry Russ graduates from Army Logistics University

By enduring the rigors of his latest task, Alcorn State University alumnus Terry Russ has successfully completed an important milestone in his military career.

Russ completed the Army combined logistics captains career course at Army Logistics University Friday, Feb. 2 in Fort Lee, Virginia. By completing the course, Russ is now a demonstrated senior logistician. Russ has been in the military for 12 years, eight of which he has served on active duty.

Since his graduation day, Russ has taken time to appreciate the significant landmark on his journey.

“I am ecstatic and grateful,” said Russ, who earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Alcorn in 2010. “Basking in all of the success and appreciation was like a dream come true.”

The grind of the program was all worth it for Russ. He feels that his time has prepared him to ascend to higher ranks in his career.

“It was a tough course, but I was given the opportunity to learn and develop new skills that will help me excel in my military career.”

As Russ looks ahead, he plans to apply the valuable lessons that the program has taught him to his career.

“This achievement has added more value to my commitment and competence as an Army professional. It’s given me the ability to work as a better team player and leader.”
