Application Types
Applicants should select on of the following application types to indicate your student type. Read the following choices to choose the application type that best describes your application student type.
Doctoral (DNP)
Students holding a master’s degree in nursing seeking to advance their career interests should complete the application for the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.
First Time Graduate
Students who have never been admitted to graduate school should complete the First Time Graduate application or who did not complete their first master’s degree at ASU.
Graduate Readmission
Students who have not been active students for one or more semesters can submit an application for reentry into their degree program by completing a Graduate Readmission application. Students applying for readmission are not required to submit new letters of recommendation.
Graduate Second Masters
The Graduate Second Master’s application applies to students who have completed their first master’s degree at Alcorn State University.
Post Master Certificate Option
Master level nursing students can continue their pursuit of advanced knowledge by submitting an application to attain a Post Master Certificate.
Graduate Non-Degree
Students seeking to enhance their professional skills or pursue credit hours for licensure certification or recertification should submit a Graduate Non-Degree application. Coursework is limited to nine credit hours.
