The Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit, affiliated organization that aids the University in promoting educational and cultural welfare, developing and expanding facilities, and facilitating studies, research, and other academic pursuits.

National Alumni Association

The Foundation was chartered over 45 years ago, on August 27, 1973, and gained 501(c)3 status the following year. Over the past four decades, the Foundation has protected and grown its assets thanks to the generous contributions of those who believe in the mission of Alcorn State University.

ASU Foundation, Inc.

Under the leadership of Alcorn State University President Walter Washington, the organizational meeting for the university’s foundation was held on July 31, 1973 at the Hotel Heidelberg in Jackson, Mississippi.

The incorporators were Mr. Robert W. Bowles; Mr. Robert D. Gage, III; Mr. Robert C. Garraway; Mr. Richard G. Hastings; Mr. John D. Holland; Dr. Ruby E.S. Lyells; Mr. Carl McIntire, Jr.; Mr. Oliver G. Taylor, Jr.; Dr. Cleopatra D. Thompson; and Dr. Walter Washington.

All For One Faculty & Staff Campaign

The Faculty and Staff Campaign is part of the University’s Annual Fund Campaign. As an employee of Alcorn State University, this campaign is a great way to directly impact areas of the University that are of interest to you. The All For One Campaign primarily focuses on the opportunity for Alcorn employees to give back and show their support for students and the overall enhancement of the university.

Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)

The Alcorn State University Foundation Inc. has been approved to participate in the 2017 National/International Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), the federal government’s workplace charity campaign that allows employees to make tax-deductible contributions to qualified charities through payroll deductions between October 2, 2017 and January 18, 2018. Alcorn State University’s CFC Identification Number is 36122.
